FAQs
What makes your approach different?
1
Unlike many consultancies that operate on commissions or percentage-based fees, we often work on project-based flat fees, avoiding conflicts of interest and ensuring our only priority is the best outcome for our clients.
We provide clear written guidance and actionable next steps throughout each engagement and remain deeply committed to supporting artists and the global cultural ecosystem. Because of our deep relationships with leading museums and major international auction houses, we also bring valuable insight and access across the art market.
How do I get started?
2
The best place to start is with a complimentary introductory conversation. This allows us to understand your goals—whether building a collection, selling artworks, developing a fundraising strategy, or strengthening an arts organization—and determine how our advisory services can be most helpful.
If additional guidance is needed after the initial conversation, follow-up consultations are generally billed at $250 per hour, or may be incorporated into a broader project engagement.
What types of clients do you work with?
3
We work with collectors, trustees, executors, artists, galleries, foundations, and arts organizations. Engagements range from advising individuals on acquisitions or art sales to supporting institutions with strategy, fundraising, and operations.
Yes. We advise collectors, foundations, and institutions on acquisitions, including market research, due diligence, artist and gallery research, and negotiation.
Do you help clients buy art?
4
Do you assist with selling artworks or deaccessioning collections?
5
Yes. We advise trustees, executors, and families on the strategic and responsible sale of artworks. This may include valuation guidance, market assessment, sales strategy, and coordination with auction houses, dealers, and legal advisors.
In these situations, we work directly for the client, and our only priority is achieving the best possible outcome for you. Our role is independent and handled with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality throughout the process.
Do you represent artists or galleries?
6
Our advisory work is independent and client-focused. While we maintain close relationships across the art ecosystem—including artists, galleries, and institutions—we do not represent any specific artists or galleries in a sales capacity on any ongoing basis and do not work on commission. Our role is to provide objective guidance that supports our clients’ goals.
Do you work internationally?
7
Yes. We work with clients internationally and have experience navigating the global art market, including international shipping, regulatory considerations, and cross-border transactions.
While we have particularly strong networks in New York, Washington DC, and Paris, our work and professional relationships extend across Europe, North America, and all major art market centers worldwide.
Empowering the World of Art
We tailor our approach for each partner, whether you are an arts organization looking for new revenue streams or a collector looking to refine your collection, we find the right strategies that capitalize on each organization’s strengths and address its needs.
